Midori entered the school library with an armful of books and a ton of assignments. She walked over to the main desk, placing the books down in front of the librarian. "Returning," She told her, handing them over one by one as the librarian scanned them. When they were finished, the girl walked towards the back of the room.
She dumped her bag onto one of the chairs near a computer and settled down, pulling several notebooks and papers out of the small bag. "Let's get cracking," She said underneath her breath, sticking a pen behind her ear. Midori sighed and opened up the web browser, typing in the subject of her project.
She clicked, 'Search,' and opened the first result that popped up, which offered no useful information. Midori rolled her eyes inwardly, clicking the back button and opening the next page. She continued on with this a couple more times before she finally found a website that she could copy notes from.
Pulling one notebook closer to her, she reached up and grabbed the pen from her hair, quickly jotting down a sentence about the beginnings of /insert subject here./ Continuing to work, she sighed as she later grew tired. She rested her head down against the keyboard and shut her eyes, planning to take a short break.
However, she fell asleep in a matter of seconds. Roughly ten minutes later, she was tapped on the shoulder and woken up. Kyouya Ootori, one of the infamous Host Club members, stood before her, smirking with his black notebook in hand.

Kyouya had walked into the library to do some research that his father asked him to do. He was proud to do anything his father said, and he did it at his full potential.
He would take a seat at the computer at the very end of the room, setting his notebook on his lap. He did not want to set it down on the table, for he did not want to take the chances of losing it.
He researched the subject, looking away from the screen every so often to scan the room out of the corner of his eyes. He had watched the young women, Midori, enter the library. He knew a lot about her because she was one of the guests at the host club he ran with his best friend.
He turned back to his computer and focused on the computer screen, typing a short summary of the project to his father. His fingers sped across the keyboard and he was done within a few minutes. At the bottom of the email he told his father to contact his for more information.
As he exited out of the windows on his screen, he stood up as he held onto his black notebook, writing a few notes in it as he stood there. When he turned around, he noticed Midori was sleeping on the keyboard at her computer. He adjusted his glasses and walked over.
He leaned over slightly when he reached her computer area, tapping on her shoulder hoping she would wake up. As she opened her eyes to look at him, he grinned down at her with his eyes closed.
"This probably isn't the most comfortable place to sleep, mademoiselle." He spoke quietly, "Why don't you gather your things and head to the Third Music room. I'm sure it will fit your standards perfectly."

"U-uh.. Okay," Midori stuttered as she rubbed at her eyes. She could feel her cheek redden, realizing that, yes, she had fallen asleep in the library. Shoving her things into her bag and exiting out of all the windows on the computer, she stood up and looked over at Kyouya, who nodded and turned towards the doors.
"You're headed over there too, I assume?" She asked as they left the library, hoisting her backpack further up her shoulder. The taller boy had nodded, saying, "Club hours are going to begin soon, I wouldn't want to be late." Midori instinctively glanced down at her watch and nodded to herself.
She guessed he knew that she was a regular customer at the Host Club, since he was always so observant of who entered the room. The two walked in silence together towards the Third Music Room and minutes later, Midori decided to speak again, "Kyouya-senpai, I hope you don't mind my asking, but how did you get wrapped up in all of this?"
This being the chaotic Host Club, of course.

He recalls the many other times when the customers would ask him why he became part of the host club. He knew first-hand that he did not look like the type who wanted to please people. At least, not to his friend Tamaki's extent.
He puts the back of his hand against the top of his hip, grinning down at the ground with his eyes closed. "I follow whatever the king says." He said simply, then looked at the girl out of the corner of his eyes. The look on her face showed slight confusion, so he went into deeper explanation.
"Tamaki came up with the idea, and asked for me to join. I don't know what exactly came over me at the time, but I agreed." He said, looking ahead and seeing the doors to the Third Music room. He hoped that was enough explanation for the girl, because telling her the whole story behind why he joined would take at least a half an hour.
He opened the door for her and put his arm extended across him, bowing to her. "After you." He said politely, "Enjoy your time."

Midori listened, nodding her head. She wasn't quite sure what she was expecting to head, but the short explanation was simple enough, and she was satisfied with it. She was silent, not knowing what else to say.
The familiar doors appeared, and as Kyouya and her neared, she said, "Tamaki-kun can be persuasive when he feels like it," She stopped when he opened the door, and smiled kindly. "Thank you, for this and waking me up before the librarian could."
She giggled at this and stepped inside, reaching up to push away a loose curl. "It was pleasant walking with you, Kyouya-sama."

"The pleasure is all mine." He said with a smile, walking in after the girl and adjusting his glasses yet again. He would be stopped by his friend Tamaki, who was going on about how the girl Tamaki was obviously in love with, Haruhi, didn't want to dress up in one of the more feminine type things. He sighed and waved off his friend.
"Daddy shouldn't try forcing things on daughter." He said. Tamaki looked as if he had just been shot with an arrow to the heart.
Kyouya turned to see Mori and Midori both talking to each other, having obviously known that the two would eventually start some kind of relationship in the first place. He smiled at his correct prediction and then went into the back room to change into the new theme of the day, which would be a repeat of the butler theme.
As he walked out, he would wonder for a mere second if he would have a relationship of any kind. The thought quickly passed as he knew he would do whatever it took to please his family, and was completely okay with that.
